I have heard due to the high demand for the Slater Designs, we might have to wait a while.

Anyone around 75kg kiting (light wind) & paddle surfing a 5'3 Evo?
Would be nice be able to do both on the one board but concerned it could be too big to kite & too small to paddle.
I have been informed that the 5'1 kite Evo,s are sold out here in Oz.

I don't know about kiting, but I'm 74kg and used to have a 5'3 Evo which paddled fine and caught waves easily... very noticeably easier than my 5'8 V4...

Thanks iFX, that's good to know ...
as luck would have it - there's a demo 5'3 at my local FW distributor & it's the kite version.

Had the demo for a week, no probs paddle surfing it & great behind a kite. Little bit too much foam for high winds (20-30 knots) but I have a Vader for that.

Is Helium Tech going to replace FST ? & is it going to be available in kite board construction ??

How does the Evo compare with the Vader & Vanguard for low end performance for kiteboarding

I had a Vanguard a few years back & was not particularly impressed by its low end.
Tested Vader & Evo in same size back to back & IMO the Evo has a better low end.

To answer my own question about Helium replacing FST, the answer is YES - I have just picked up a HEVO (kite construction Evo in Helium Tech).
